Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
- We only collect what the journal needs: your email, your password, and what you log.
- Your journal is private. Only you can see your grows, notes and photos.
- We don't sell your information, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools.
- You can delete your account and everything in it yourself at any time, or ask us for a copy.
Who we are
Grow Log Pro ("we", "us") is a grow journal for adults who grow cannabis at home where it is legal. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and journal, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to users in Canada, the United States and anywhere else the service is used.
If you have any question about your privacy, contact us at hello@growlogpro.app.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored in scrambled (hashed) form and we can never see them.
- Journal content: the grows you create (name, strain, growing medium, start and flip dates, the nutrients and mix size you pick for the feeding chart, the setup you describe such as tent size, light and fans, and the plants you add to it) and your entries (dates, readings such as pH, EC, runoff, temperature, humidity, light and water, feeds you log, drying and jar humidity readings, your notes, and any photos you upload), plus any feeding recipes you create and the seeds you add to your seed vault.
- Sensor imports: if you import a file from a temperature and humidity sensor, it is read on your own device and only a summary for each day (lowest, average and highest temperature and humidity, and average VPD) is saved with your grow. The file itself is never uploaded.
- Voice notes: if you use the microphone button, your browser's own speech recognition turns your speech into text. Depending on your browser, the sound may be processed by its maker (for example Google for Chrome or Apple for Safari) under their privacy policy. Grow Log Pro never receives the audio, only the text you save.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
Information collected automatically
- Technical logs: like most websites, our hosting and database providers keep short-term server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request. These are used for security and to keep the service running.
- Saved settings on your device: your browser stores your login session, your light or dark mode choice, and the last grow you opened. This stays on your device and is only used to make the site work.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics tools or tracking pixels.
Grow Log Pro is a journal, not a store. We do not ask for payment details, your home address, or government ID.
How we use it
- To create your account, log you in, and confirm your email address.
- To store your journal and show it back to you.
- To send emails you need, such as account confirmation and password reset links.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
- To reply when you contact us.
- If you tap "Tell me when Pro launches", we save the date you asked with your account and may email you once about Pro. That's the only reason we'd email you about it.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your journal content to train AI models or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
Who processes your data for us
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Grow Log Pro. They only handle your information to provide their service to us.
| Provider | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Stores accounts, journal entries and photos | Canada |
| Resend | Sends account emails, such as sign-up confirmations and password resets | United States |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website files and the growlogpro.app domain | United States and worldwide |
| Google Fonts | Supplies the fonts the website uses | United States and worldwide |
| jsDelivr | Delivers a code library the journal needs | Worldwide |
Your journal data is stored in Canada. When your browser loads the website, fonts and code library, your IP address may be processed in other countries, including the United States, where local laws may allow authorities to access data. We may also share information if the law requires it, for example to respond to a valid court order.
How we protect it
- All traffic between your browser and Grow Log Pro is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Database rules make sure each account can only read and change its own grows, entries and photos.
- Photos are stored privately and are shown to you through links that expire after an hour.
- Before a photo leaves your device, the journal resizes it and removes the hidden details cameras add, such as the GPS location where it was taken. (If your browser can't read a photo's format, it is uploaded as it is.)
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that puts your information at real risk, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and journal for as long as your account exists. When you delete an entry, grow or photo, it is removed right away. When you delete your account in the journal, your account, grows, entries and photos are removed right away. If you ask us by email instead, we do it within 30 days. Server logs kept by our providers are deleted automatically on their own schedules, usually within a few weeks.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can:
- See and correct your information. Most of it you can view and edit yourself in the journal.
- Get a copy of your journal data.
- Delete individual entries, grows and photos, or your whole account, yourself. To delete your account, click your email address at the top of the journal and choose Delete my account. You can also ask us to do it.
- Withdraw consent by deleting your account. We will then stop processing your information.
To make a request, email hello@growlogpro.app from the address on your account. We will reply within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
Canada
We handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with how we handle a concern, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
United States, including California
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct and delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. You can make any of these requests at the email above.
Age requirement
Grow Log Pro is only for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn that someone under 21 has created an account, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also let you know by email or with a notice in the journal before it takes effect.
